About

Pierre and Nelly are the founders of Bree’Osh Bakery Café, a French bakery rooted in tradition and built on adventure in 2015.

Bree’Osh is a community driven bakery - café where everything is made by hand, with passion for coffee, sourdough, heritage grain and fermentation.

Nelly grew up on her family’s vineyard in Bordeaux, where she learned the art of winemaking and fermentation early on—and more recently, she’s discovered a deep connection to the world of essential oils.

Pierre was born in Brittany, France—a place known for its butter, crêpes, sablé breton, and the legendary Kouign Amann. But he didn’t start off as a baker. For years, he worked as a Customer Relationship Consultant in the banking world. One day, he realized he wanted more out of life—more creativity, more connection, and more time doing something he truly cared about. That something turned out to be bread.

Pierre retrained at Ferrandi, the acclaimed Parisian school of culinary arts, and went on to work with some of the best in the business—Michelin-starred Cyril Lignac, Gontran Cherrier, and Hermes Agboton of Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

In 2014, Pierre and his wife Nelly set out on a journey to find a place where they could share their love for French baking. Their travels took them through Chile, Colombia, and Peru before they finally landed in Montecito, California in 2015. That same year, Bree’Osh was born.
